The Agora3.0 (https://www.agora3.com.cy) is a research project funded by the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) of Cyprus. As part of the Agora3.0, there is the opportunity to host two researchers with an innovative research idea at the German Medical Institute (GMI). Two projects will be selected based on its scientific merit, its innovative potential and its ethical compliance to the Agora 3.0 and RIF philosophy.
There will be two grant application calls, each with different criteria. The first call concerns those who completed their undergraduate/graduate and/or within the first year of doctoral studies. The second call concerns those who completed their doctoral studies. The current call is the first out of the two calls and is open to candidates who meet the following criteria:
1. Completed their undergraduate/graduate or within the first year of PhD degree in any of the following fields: artificial intelligence in health care, health technology, prospective clinical trials, clinical data management, biomarker research, or other related field.
2. Are under the age of 40.
3. Can work for a duration (full or part-time) of 6 months on the winning project.
The Innovation Grant provides the opportunity for the selected young and early-career researcher to gain access to the GMI facilities, knowledge/expertise, data and/or use of equipment. The grant will further enable the researcher to co-author collaborative work, as well as collaborate with researchers and staff at GMI and partners of Agora3.0 on their project and future research endeavours.
